Ronald Howard was born in1955, in Leeds, Alabama, a small town that continues to shape both his life and his storytelling. After a 39-year career in the commercial door and hardware industry, Ronald retired and eventually returned home to Leeds after spending 17 years in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He is married to Susan, his wife of nearly 41 years. Together they have two children, Tiffiny and Michael, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren—family who remain at the heart of his writing and creative work. While Ronald has long been passionate about photography, art, travel, and cooking, writing has become his most rewarding—and challenging—pursuit. His stories often explore quiet guardianship, small-town memory, unseen labor, and the lines that hold communities together. Whether writing memoir-style reflections or layered fiction, he is drawn to the idea that the most important work is often done unnoticed. Ronald is the author of seven books: * *Ron Howard’s Simple Musings* * *The Handyman’s Guild* * *The Quarry Keeper* * *The Watchers* * *The Apprentices* * *Ashville Rising* * *Fault Lines* In addition to writing, Ronald produces content across three YouTube channels: **It’s Nanny & Pop**, featuring homespun tales and travel videos; **Ron Howard Photography**, focused on photography discussions; and **Hometown Life**, highlighting interesting people, places, and stories from his hometown. He also maintains a personal blog, **Ron Howard’s Simple Musings**, where many of his reflections and story ideas first take shape.
